LASIK

Many people who wear glasses or contact lenses wonder whether LASIK is a good option to correct their vision. LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is a procedure where the goal is to reduce or eliminate a patient’s need for glasses or contact lenses. This procedure has been around for many years and continues to prove to be a safe and effective way to improve a person’s vision. Even if a patient is not a good candidate for LASIK, there are other refractive surgeries which may be a better option such as PRK (photo-refractive keratectomy) or ICL (implantable contact lens). If you have questions regarding LASIK, call our office or be sure to ask at your next eye exam.
