Flashes and Floaters

Many people experience floating spots and specks in their vision. While these floaters can be annoying, they are usually of little concern to the overall health of the eye. However, in certain circumstances such as several new floaters, large floaters, or floaters accompanied by flashes of light, these symptoms can be a sign of a potentially serious eye problem, like a retinal detachment. Should you experience these symptoms make an appointment as soon as possible to rule out potentially vision threatening conditions.
