Contact Lens Health Week

August 21-25 is Contact Lens Health Week. Contact lenses are a great option for vision correction instead of glasses, but proper care must be taken to maintain eye health. When not cared for properly, your eyes are at risk of painful and possibly sight threatening infections. Basic steps for healthy contact lens wear include: washing and drying your hands before handling your contact lenses, cleaning and storing your contacts with appropriate solution, removing your contacts every night before bed, replacing your contacts on the appropriate schedule, and seeing your eye doctor at least once a year. You only have one pair of eyes, so take care of them! If you have questions or problems with your contacts please let us know. And if it’s been over a year since your last exam, call or click at the top of our website to schedule your appointment.
